Open Call: Postdoctoral Fellowships in Semiconductors Devices

According to current demand of research projects, the postdoctoral fellowships are open to applicants of all nationalities and aimed at training highly qualified early-career postdoctoral researchers to carry out research at Changsha Semiconductor Technology and Application Innovation Research Institute ("Research Institute"), Hunan University, in the field of semiconductors and electronics.

Application Information

1. PhD in Semiconductors and related fields

2. A PhD degree awarded less than 3 years, and maximum age of 35 years

3. Excellent scientific research potential, good academic ethics, and strong ability

4. Full-time position,publish at least one SCI paper with "Changsha Semiconductor Technology and Application Innovation Research Institute, College of Semiconductors (College of Integrated Circuits), Hunan University, Changsha 410082, China" as the first affiliation; Relying on the College of Semiconductors (College of Integrated Circuits), Hunan University to apply for various government sponsored research such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

Fellowship Grant(co-funded by the Research Institute, Hunan University, Changsha Government, and the hosting professor)

A. Outstanding position: not less than 450,000 CNY per year

B. Special position: not less than 380,000 CNY per year

C. General position: not less than 300,000 CNY per year

Supporting Policy

1. Talent’spolicy and relevant support are offered to the candidates by Government of Changsha City, including living stipend, homebuying subsidies, and residency subsidies etc.

2.During the fellowship period, the working life is accounted (for the candidates without any work experience) or continuously calculated since the starting date.

3. While starting the fellowship, the candidate is simultaneously evaluated as the assistant researcher, with the opportunity to be promoted as associate researcher thereafter.

4. Being qualified to participate in the "Outstanding Postdoctoral" award selection of Hunan University. After awarded, the candidate can apply for the professionalship position.

5. Equivalent scientific reward policy of Hunan University.During the fellowship period, the candidates can also apply for residency of Hunan University, and their children can enjoy the entry and enrollment benefits as other staff.

6. Career prospects: To fully implement the strategic positioning and mission of the ‘Three Hubs and Four Missions’ Strategy and promote the implementation of the ‘Strengthening the Provincial Capital’ Strategy, three parties represented as the People's Government of Changsha City, Hunan University, and Administrative Committee of University Science and Technology Town of Yuelu Mountain, were officially signed the contract on September 29, 2021, to jointly construct "Hunan University·Changsha Semiconductor Technology and Application Innovation Research Institute",

Oriented to the national strategic needs, the Research Institute is aimed at developing the key technologies in the semiconductor fields, to serve the local economic prosperity and semiconductor industry. In 2021, the Institute was listed as "Top Ten major scientific and technological innovation projects of Changsha City". In the meantime, Hunan University is responsible for the construction, management and operation of the Research Institute.
